I'm not generally a blogger, but I wanted to create a space to give updates on my upcoming trip to South Asia. The further I've gotten into this process, the more excited I get and the more eager I am to share my heart and prayer requests for this trip! I've seen the Lord move in HUGE ways already. Within the past 2 days, He's brought in over $1,000 of my support and I'm trusting Him to provide the rest! I was reading through parts of Philippians today and I was reminded of God's faithfulness in providing for His people:
"And my God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19) .
Also, if you're wondering about the title of the blog, "Running with beautiful feet...," it's a reference to a verse in Isaiah 52 that talks about the feet of those who bring the Good News. The hope and healing found in the Truth of the Gospel is the goal of this summer:) The verse is referenced in a song by Lecrae called "Beautiful Feet," which talks about bringing the Gospel to urban, run-down areas (the chorus urges people to "go and run with those beautiful feet," hence the name of the blog:)).
Be praying! Pray for hearts to be opened and lives to be healed and changed, for safety for me and my teammates, and for support to continue to come in. I keep coming back to a verse in Habakkuk that's been so encouraging lately: "Look at the nations and watch--and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told" (Habakkuk 1:5). This past summer while I was in Virginia Beach, a friend of mine suggested that I replace "nation" in the verse with anything that's going on in my life-- look at U of M's campus..., look at relationship x..., look at your plans for the future..., etc...and watch and be UTTERLY amazed! It's so encouraging to be reminded of how big God's plans really are:)
Let me know how I can be praying for you or encouraging you:)
